Heritage Landscapes: Preservation Architects & Planners
Projects  /  In Progress  /  In Action  /  Profile  /  Contact Us  /  Employment

We respect the cultural landscapes of this nation and the world in all the forms they take.

Over the past twenty-one years we have applied planning and implementation expertise to the preservation and ongoing stewardship of a remarkable legacy of places of local, regional, national and global importance. A range of our projects, work underway and our professional contributions to this increasingly important field are presented here.

In Progress
Longue Vue House & Gardens is working to recapture tree canopy after the loss of vegetation from Hurricane Katrina. Collaborative efforts between Heritage Landscapes and the Garden Conservancy are producing a tree canopy renewal plan to regain the historic character of the garden.

Projects

Designed by the landscape architecture firm Simonds & Simonds and architects Mitchell & Ritchey (late 1940s - 1955), it is the first modern garden plaza built over a parking structure in the U.S. and one of the earliest examples of a green roof.
